Call for Helms Award Nominations

The Helms Award recognizes (1) sustained and meritorious contributions to PPAG and to pediatric pharmacy practice, and (2) contributions of importance to education, new knowledge, and outreach.  The Richard A. Helms award is made possible by the generous donations of colleagues, friends, and past postdoctoral trainees of Dr. Helms, as well as, gift from B|Braun.

The organization is accepting nominations for the 3nd Annual Richard A. Helms Award to be given at the 17th Annual Meeting and Pediatric Pharmacy Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. The recipient of the award will give the Helms Lecture. The winner of the award will be announced at the 17th Annual Meeting.

To be eligible for the award, nominees should be a practitioner who has made a lasting contribution to pediatric pharmacy practice. Nominees must be in pediatric pharmacy practice for 15 years and and active member of PPAG for 5 continuous years. Self-nominations are not accepted.

To nominate someone for this prestigious award, please submit the following:
1. A letter that describes the most important achievements of the nominee. The letter should also explain why the nominee should be considered for this award.
2. A current curriculum vitae or a detailed résumé of the nominee.
3. A supporting letter from an individual who is qualified to judge the significance of the nominee’s contributions. These letters should address the nominee’s worthiness to receive the award and should include the major research, practice or advocacy contributions of the nominee. If supporting letters are to be sent separately, the nominator should advise PPAG that they are forthcoming by the submission deadline.
